I am not typically one to rant on this forum, however I would like to say a few words about garbage pick up. It has been a little over a year since we went to one garbage pickup per week. During the winter months it was not really a problem, but now that we are in summer again it is really a hassle. We had a graduation party for our daughter last Sunday and as a result had much more trash than we normally do. Since everything didnt fit into cans, I bagged everything into those big Home Depot construction bags (because they are strong). However, I had to keep them in my garage so animals wouldnt get to them, and after 4 days...you could imagine. I would like to find a way to propose to the town that they provide twice a week pick up just for the summer months. This does not seem unreasonable to me given the taxes we pay in this town. I would even be willing to go back to every other week recycling pick up as a compromise. I would like to know who else feels the same way and would like to help approach the town about it. Thanks.
