I am now the proud ( lol ) owner of cataracts...That was my diagnosis at the eye specialist office yesterday..Still awaiting tests results from the others. Was told that possibly the reason for the high WBC instead of my normal low WBC because of auto-immune disease might be because of the rise in episodes from the Gastroparesis. Having a constant parasite will elevate your WBC. I also still have excessive bleeding behind the eyes from the retinopathy that will be need to be taken care of by laser. My eyesight has changed dramatically in the last year, none of glasses are correct and my right eye is extremely worse. Ive had so many obstacles to get over regarding the diabetes and some I thought I never would. I smoked for over 30 years and I can proudly say with exception of a 10 day binge I havent smoke again in almost 3 years. My final journey is getting rid of some excess weight. Now I have been scared to the point I have got to take it seriously. I have plenty of people around me that I can lean on and get support from and a few that have offered to join me in my journey to get fit and lose some weight. So Ill take being almost 50 with diabetes for more than over half my life with the eyes of a 70 year old OVER any cancer or tumors any day of the week. The rest of it is a cake walk compared to what could have been!!
