I am obviously getting peoples backs up. Just recieved this email : Sorry just saw some of your comments on the ban pinch collars group - your completely welcome to your opinion but to say Who would wear this around there neck? I wouldnt so why do some people force there dog to - would you poo and wee outside? eat dog food? sleep in a cage? Sniff someones bum? Its a very odd comparison to use. Im VERY anti-cruelty, but the page your a part of is peddling complete nonsense. Its not the collars that cause harm - its people. Dogs and animals are abused day in day out, and to ban a tool thats extremely useful as a training tool for working dogs will not fix this problem. Try convince some of the people blaming pinch collars for animal cruelty to turn their attention to proper pet trade regulation and you may actually achieve something positive. The reason pet charities use these things as PR material is because its highly emotive and extremely targeted, giving people a specific thing to blame while raising general awareness of the work these institutions do. I would have posted this on the actual group page - but whomever set it up has seen fit to make it join only, and Im not joining the group just to be remove for having a balanced counter-opinion
