I am officially back in USA soil after being back in the country where I was born, my beautiful Mexico. I feel extremely privileged to have had this opportunity - I have so many contradicting emotions about it all. Being back after almost 15 years introduced new questions about my identity, which I had purposely avoided because it was just too painful to think about. It also made me reflect about my responsibility to both countries, about the social and economic inequalities that still exists, about this feeling of guilt and anger Ive had for years, about how disconnected and connected I felt with my family in Sinaloa, about the new Mexico I discovered this time around, and about my future. It also gave me a new sense of drive and eagerness to keep this fight alive for The Other DREAMers, the undocumented community, and most importantly to my heart, MY FAMILY. Overall, it was an experience I will never forget and as I sit here crying writing this - my heart goes out to my DREAMer FAMILY, which has indeed helped me begin to HEAL - I do not know what I would do without all of YOU. #Iamfromhereandfromthere #DREAMersInMexico #TheOTherDREAMers #NotOneMore #ImmigrationReformNOW #MexicanAmerican #THANKFUL #MyFamilyDeservesRespectandDignity Estoy oficialmente de regreso en EE.UU. después de estar en el país en donde nací, mi México lindo. También me hizo reflexionar acerca de mi responsabilidad que tengo de ambos países, sobre las desigualdades sociales y económicas que todavía existen, sobre el sentimiento de culpa y la ira que he tenido durante años, sobre cómo desconectada y conectada me sentí con mi familia en Sinaloa, sobre el nuevo México que descubri en esta ocasión, y me hizo reflexionar sobre mi futuro. También me dio un nuevo sentido de unidad y el afán de mantener viva esta lucha para Los Otros DREAMers, la comunidad indocumentada, y lo más importante para mi corazón, MI FAMILIA.
