I am officially done celebrating the birth of my children..for this year anyway. Today we partied with the friends. It was supposed to be a day at the park but our plans changed when thunderstorms moved in, so we moved the party to our house. First Sophia had a lovely tea party with 12 of her sweet friends. We had tea (Gatorade) , we had tea sandwiches, we decorated cupcakes, we opened presents, we played games, and we all listened to Mrs Shiban. After our 2 hour par-tay, I thought, Man, I am an awesome child party coordinator and I could do this for a living! And then THEY arrived. The 9 year old boys. And they were loud and made random jerky movements without reason or cause, and they put each other in headlocks and they did not line up sweetly and orderly, and they kept finding reasons to scream when screaming was not called for and laugh hysterically and uncontrollably and make gross noises, and they were sweaty and I nearly lost my voice trying to keep any resemblance of order. And then it was over and Calo said it was the best time he ever had... and now that I think about it, it wasnt so bad after all.
