I am officially off all sales sites as far as I can find (might have missed one or two but hope not) and my consignment business is closed. Learned a lot about myself and my friends and will be taking that knowledge with me as I go into whatever I do next to try to make enough money to survive one more year until my retirement benefits kick in. I am not a good sales person - too willing to trust friends who are going to pay as soon as they get that next check - that hurt a lot - more emotionally than financially. Anyone who knows me at all knows that I would give anyone who needed (or even just wanted) the shirt off my back so to have people who called themselves my friends rip me off and lie to me month after month is a very hard thing for me to deal with. Even when I knocked off my commission on things people still cant even pay - wonder if they realize that the items they stole from me were actually now paid for by me when I closed out the consignment books for my consignees? I doubt it matters to any of them - just as long as they didnt have to pay for it I dont imagine they care who did. I wont make the same mistakes in whatever venture I start next - probably make plenty of other ones but not the old pay ya in a few days cuz Im your friend one. Maybe I should publish names and amounts here like the stores do for people who write bad checks - the wall of shame!! What a sad world we live in now days - used to be a person honored their reputation and their word meant something - guess its time to get new friends or at least block a few of the old ones. Hey one good thing I guess - I dont have to worry about any enemies stabbing me in the back with all the friends standing around me - the friends will beat them to it!!
