I am often asked what does a vegetable farmer do in the winter? One of the most enjoyable tasks is the seed order. We order well over 250 varieties of vegetables, herbs, and flowers from 6 seed suppliers. This allows us to provide the wide array of vegetables that our customers so enjoy. There are many different sizes, shapes, tastes, and colors of veggies that we select. Most of the time I feel like a kid in a candy store. Next step is figuring out the crop plan. This gives me a guide for when, how, and where all these crops will be planted and harvested. The fun never stops when you are a farmer. - Mark
