I am painfully of two minds, okay, three minds, about Lil Kim and The Movie. Mind #1: How lovely to have been spared a stupid lad comedy with a particularly nasty premise. (I doubt wed be rolling in the aisles if an enemy nation announced a film about the assassination of Obama.) Mind #2: Should we have shelved all the 007 movies if Russia said it didnt like them? Oh, wait--nuke-owning country-wise, Russia at the height of the Cold War was still sane and self-interested compared to North Korea, so maybe the question is irrelevant. But then, what about movies with ISIS as the villain? On the suicidal-insanity scale, they make Lil Kim look reasonable. Mind #3: GEORGE CLOONEY MIND: With the First Amendment, you’re never protecting Jefferson; it’s usually protecting some guy who’s burning a flag or doing something stupid.
