I am planning on starting a KickStarter project. I am quite passionate about SOA and Enterprise Integration Patterns. I have two possible product directions I can go with and wanted to do some peer polling on which one would be more likely to get funded based on interest. 1. An Open Source Enterprise version of Mule ESB. MuleSoft offers a paid-for Enterprise version, however, I believe the community could use an Open Source version that fills some of the functional gaps of the existing Mule ESB platform. 2. An Open Source version of an ESB for the .NET platform. The .NET platform has two potential solutions for Enterprise Integration: BizTalk 2004 and NServiceBus. This KickStarter would be an implementation of an ESB based on Community Mule ESB.
