I am proud that Lupita Nyong’o is getting the Notarity that she deserves. But the continent that i come from produces gems and talent like that on a Regular basis and has spread that talent world wide. So i don’t understand why Hollywood is acting like this and the masses are just eating it up. because the same people giving her props for her natural beauty are the same people that hate her in their sub conscience. They will still bleach thier skin , put perms in thier hair and Buy that Beyonce of weave in a heart beat. What i don’t understand is that i always hear people say that Black folks need to get past the Slavery Issue and move on. Ok then why are they always promoting these Slave based movies!! I heard a rumor that they are about to do a remake of Roots!! Really ??? Go ahead with that nonsense man. because slavery was just a segemnet of my long and great history. Share that with the world ! Share something good about my race to the world. I am tired of traveling to different places through out the states and the world and the only thing people can think of when they look at my dark skin is Slavery!! or something negative. and they dont know anything else about us as a people beside what Hollywood and the media puts out. so i constantly try to educate my friends so they dont get caught up in the nonsense. this hidden racist agenda. How about you make a movie based on some of the following truths! some of them have some cool movie Titles .. LOL Example : “ Ancient Egypt ( The Rise and Fall of Kushite Empire) before Alexander the great ! The Nile River flows from the South to North” Who where the MOORS? or “ They Came before Colombus I would love to see Lupita Nyong’o play - Queen Nzinga of Angola - show how she lead and defended her people from the wicked hand of slavery. She became renowned for the guerilla tactics she employed for resisting the technologically superior Portugese army. She was a brilliant strategist and, although past sixty, led her warriors herself. Never surrendering, she died on December 17, 1663. or Lupita Nyong’o Play - Yaa Asantewaa : In 1900, she led the Ashanti rebellion known as the War of the Golden Stool against British colonialism. or maybe instead of the LION KING (the cartoon) “ Hollywood tell the real story of the Real Lion King of Africa - Sundiata of The Ancient West African Kingdom of Mali. #hadtogetthisoffmychest #stopbuyingweave #stopskinbleaching #stoptoxicperms #startlovingyourselfagain
