I am proud to announce that I watched, in total, less than two minutes of the Oscars last night. Other than the years in which LOTR was up, I have never watched them, with the exception of continuing to check in so I would catch Robin Williams sing Blame Canada in whatever year that was. The whole entertainment industry (by which I mean following the entertainment world as if it were newsworthy), is, to me, a tremendous waste of time. I enjoy movies, books, music, of course, but the cult of personality and the time devoted to who is wearing what, dating whom, etc ... wasting time with that is a shame ... you may fire back when ready ...
