I am putting this guy up for sale since he has such a violent feeding response and I dont trust him around my wife & kids. Hes tame, but he sometimes mistakes random things for food and goes after whatever that may be, very violently. for example, sometimes he thinks my wedding ring is a treat and I even have a hard time fending him off when he gets in that mind set. Im afraid hes gonna mistake one of the kids feet or my wifes ear for a snack one day, and a hungry bite is waaay worse than an angry bite. he is approx. a year old wild caught Sumatran that is higher yellow than most normals, he is about 3 1/2 feet long now and has a nipped tail from when he was a baby. as I said before, there has never been any feeding issues. he has a recent small scrape on the top of his nose from the other day when he dove under a piece of furniture to attack a toy that he thought might be good to eat. but should heal completely very soon. he has never tried to bite me other than when he thought I was food, or if I was holding food, or I was holding something he thought was food. Hes definitely got a personality, his name is Bob, and hes at that age when he gets very bored very easy, he needs constant attention and things to explore. hes always excited when I open the cage to come out and run around. He does know how to open several cages I have and I had to put locks on his cage so he cant get out. Bob needs a good home, PM me if interested
