I am quietly, slooowly writing my sequel memoir, Cooking for the Maharani, collecting all the pieces of writing I have done over the past year and pouring them into my Scrivener files. I sit in parks with my MacBook a lot these days. I take up tables in a lot of eastside cafes. This memory, of a trip with Ajay to the Himalayas, stayed with me. So heres something I learned: You can actually trick yourself into getting a lot of writing done by disguising the work as Facebook posts. Try it. Writing a long status update is not nearly as intimidating as penning your memoirs and you get an instant buoy from all your friends who read it and respond.
