I am re-posting or sharing this pic and information not to shock every one or any one but to be quite honest, I had been feeling somewhat inadequate after seeing many of the photos posted on FB of the women who had had mastectomies and decorated themselves with skin art. Their scars seemed to be insignificant and looked nothing like my scar does. Did I have a bad surgeon? or just a bad body? Just seeing this one pic has left me feeling more normal than I have felt since my operation last November, because although this woman has clearly had both her breasts removed her scar looks like mine and that makes me feel better and more content with my scar. I hope this exhibition comes to Melbourne.
