I am re-posting this Giorgio on public settings. :-) Ever get the urge to grab and pull on someones tie as if it was a hangmans noose? . Celebrity is a cancer on society which impels the very worst of Empire culture to the forefront as a device to compel the comatose masses. Unfortunately it is the tendency of Americas stunted culture to make demigods out those clowns who are small enough to fit into a small box called TV . What this means is that, on the one hand, we get idiots like John Voight ranting ad nausea like a banshee in both his toxic private life and in public about things which he knows nothing about, and, on the other hand, unsuspecting, equally ridiculous conscripts like Russel Brand at point in a marketing campaign designed around this very unfunny comedian holding him self out as a Messiah for the politically obtuse and as the leader of a new social revolution based in mass narcissism.
