I am re-reading some notes from a seminar I attended with Deepak Chopra and found a gem. Deepak teaches that ... Motivation = Mental ... Inspiration = in spirit ... Enthusiasm = in touch with God So when you are needing motivation to get something done, what is it that you are mentally having to push through to take action? Its a good question because all to often we say we need to get motivated to do something which is another way of saying I really dont want to do this but I need to find the energy to make it happen. Sort of like the love/hate relationship some of us have with exercise ... how many of you have said at some time I need to get motivated when thinking about your next training session? So what is the one question that if I asked you would shift the motivation to feeling inspired? You see being inspired for me means that the energy to make it happen comes from within and is often occurs unconsciously ... sort of like the time you could hardly wait to get out and exercise or to do something. What was different between that inspired action compared to needing the energy to get motivated?
