I am really disgusted by Religious Harm caused because of ages-old traditions and beliefs that have no place in our modern society. The substandard treatment of women, children, minority races, alternative lifestyles and different religions (different from what is considered the majority- but really isnt) pisses me off because it creates so much hardship in the World. I feel this personally, because live in a place with racial tension (because of shit that happened long ago?). I also live an alternative lifestyle on the water that most every land dweller does not understand nor appreciate. Examples of religion being used as an excuse to harm children and women is still prevalent in much of the World; And governments exacerbate the situation by intervening in stuff that is none of their business; Even governments that are supposedly not Theocracies. Giving all citizens equal access to public services seems to be appropriate; But forcing a private business to the whims of government is wrong. I am amazed at the hypocrisy of the government(s) in the United States of America when they treat women, gays, and religious & racial minorities badly, and then decree something like this. WTF?
