I am really excited about two presentations Im giving at the NGH Convention outside Boston this week: “Removing The Family Curse —The Biology Of Passing On Emotional Memory” Behavioral epigenetics is an exciting new area of science that begin in earnest in 2004 with the publication of a paper in Nature Neuroscience demonstrating a chemical, but non-genetic, method for inheriting acquired emotional memory. The concept was so radical it was initially rejected by peer review, and required special validation for publication. The inheritance of behavior is a startling concept. Recent human research shows that this process influences virtually all areas of psychotherapy. As a fundamental process of emotional change, hypnosis is an excellent process for remolding epigenetic inheritance. If you would like to explore truly cutting-edge science and hypnotic application, join me for the two-hour workshop (#220909) on Saturday, August 9 at 9:00 a.m. “Mirror Neurons And Metaphors —Physical Bases For Crafting Powerful Hypnosis” Our culture--and many of our clients--are focused on empirical, scientific proof. As we interact with the medical and psychiatric professions, it is necessary to describe our work in clinical terms. Peer-reviewed research demonstrates the effectiveness and neurological basis of hypnosis. Reams of research published in standard medical and scientific journals supports our work. Join me for the one-hour seminar (#11053) on Friday, August 8 at 5:00 p.m. and check it out!
