I am really happy I finally got the hang of continental knitting. I was a thrower and very fast at it, but since I had to learn how to crochet with the yarn on the left hand because my hands were getting too sore the old way, I have been determined to learn. Ive always been able knit this way, but purl always got twisted for the next row and Id have to modify were I inserted the needle to make sure I didnt get twisted stitches. For this latest project I was determined to figure it out and I have figured out a way I can do it comfortably and fast. The problem is, my project called for k1, p3 rib, so I figured Id do it backwards and p3, k1. But now that I am at the end of the project and doing some fancier yos I have to remember to purl when the pattern says knit, and knit when the pattern says purl. Thats a bit confusing when reading the pattern. Im am still very pleased and you CAN teach an old knitter a new trick!
