I am really not sure how to feel about what happened: 1-to feel happy for the removal of a system that was trying hard but had its setbacks and appeared to have disappointed a lot of people, or 2-to feel saddened for the killing of the 1-year old Egyptian democracy at the hands of the military. Let me try to work that out for myself: A struggling system could have changed itself over time through a mature political opposition and learning from its mistakes and could in time step up. Or else, it would have been replaced with another legitimate, democratically elected system. On the other hand, the death of democracy, and examples of military coups, which is technically what this is, are numerous in history and you may not need to look far to know what happens. Ah, perhaps Egypt history since 1952! Whatever happens now, I only wish that Allah SWT save the kind people of Egypt, my family and my dear friends!
