I am really saddened to read this, and as a proud bendigonian who loves sport and believes in doing everything we can to provide as many pathways as we can for local kids, Im embarrassed and ashamed because we have let future generations down. Plenty of people should be ashamed of themselves when they read this has happened inc the councilors 16 years ago who didnt allow the redevelopment of QEO, every council since that hasnt stepped up to find the club a home base, the BFL board who continually sought to block players playing, previous boards of the club who ran it into the ground, Essendon etc. Tim & Aussie and everyone involved currently have done an amazing job and should be commended. But they have been down. Flow in effect of this will be, losing $3m a year annually to region, no AFL talent to play in Bendigo as no aligned VFL sides too visit. No VFL side to lure players to region which has benefitted the BFL despite their help in sabotaging the club, etc etc. in a sporting context this is a very sad day for Bendigo.
