I am remembering a neighbor. He was handsome to this girl of 13. I used to stand on my front porch and look up at him when he would get in his fancy car. If you understand the geography of Susquehanna you either look up or down to the next street. He was: ALBERT JOHN PATRILLO, JR. of Vine St., Susquehanna, was killed May 19,1967, Vietnam. He was just 21 yrs. old I remember the officers trudging up their lengthy stairs and standing at the door. Both his mom, Millie and his dad Albert at the doorway. It was then that my mother quietly pulled me inside.........silence. Thank you for the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom handsome neighbor, I will never forget you.
