I am reminded of Stephen being stoned to death in the book of Acts. And who but Saul, later becoming Paul, was there. Pauls own words were And when the blood of Stephen your witness was being shed, I myself was standing by and approving and watching over the garments of those who killed them. Stephens last words were Lord, do not hold this sin against them. Who else but Christ can change our hearts to love our enemies? Who else but Christ can change the heart of a murderer and blasphemer and make him one of the most influential Biblical heroes. God is real, and this life is but a vapor. I invite you to pray with me for our brothers and sisters that they may find peace in God. That they know he is present in even the darkest situations. I cannot fathom what they must be facing. I pray that they rely on Christs strength and not their own. For the people persecuting them, pray that they have a revelation like Saul/Paul. God reveal yourself to them in a mighty way.
