I am reposting a comment I made a week or so ago because its relevance is demonstrated in the following news item. I read an article by H. Lynn Gardner in The Lookout magazine that started with this telling observation: A man who was raised by missionary parents in Tibet until Communists forced his family out and who later became a doctor missionary in Thailand observed a pattern to the loss of religious freedoms. First, political correctness defined and controlled what is acceptable speech. Second, government officials set up protected classes. Third, anything spoken that could be construed critical of one of the protected classes was deemed hate speech. Fourth, punishment from penalties to execution were established for hate speech. Fifth, outright persecution of Christians. I would say America has come to somewhere in stage four. Now watch the video and tell me where you think the U.S. is on the scale and if it matters to you.
