I am reposting this hoping that parents understand what enormous jobs that lifeguards have and read this entire article. It would be such a tragedy to lose a child to drowning when information is out there to prevent it. I have so much admiration for what my grandson Dane Smith does as a lifeguard in Hartford City. These young men and women do not get the praise that they deserve keeping watch over these children through the summer months.
