I am saddened by my beautiful Chinese dissidents family having to leave NYU (for whatever reasons I am not privy of) only in that I loved having them as neighbors right across the hall from me. Their children have gone through so much in their short lives in house arrest since birth in China and finally found each other (for they had to be separated in China). Thank you President Hillary Clinton for arranging their exile to the USA. We became such close neighborly friends (they left me a beautiful gift from their recent trip to Taiwan) and we will have dinner together next week before they leave campus. How much I will miss the warm hugs & daily embraces from Chen and his beautiful wife and children that I received every single day throughout this entire year. I know nothing of their Human Rights and political or NYU life, but I loved them as just Neighbors in that they are so kind, loving, immaculate, and respectful as neighbor-friends. My prayers and love will forever be with them and their family back in China. How blessed I have been to have them live less than 12" across the hall from me this past 14 months or so.
