I am seeking 2 interns for my music & entertainment company. All applicants must make contact by this Thursday August 21st 2014 at 10pm with the required information we suggest you submit. The reason why we need someone asap is because we want to get you started and training this Saturday at the huge concert event in Modesto, CA called X Fest and we have 4 more huge concerts that we have to do work at in Fresno, CA. The sooner we could get you up to par, the better. Please read all the information below to know exactly what we are searching for. Position: Professional Media & Entertainment Assistant Starting Wage: $10 per hour after the 1 month probation period. You will work on an on-call basis for special events and you will be required to have a calendar to keep track of the event dates. So if there is no event scheduled that day, there is no work. So the more events we get, the more work you will have. Work Hours: Mostly weekends as needed and the hours may vary. Sometimes you will be required to be at a location for early set up as early as 9am. Sometimes you will be required to set up late in the afternoon. The work hours go based on the event times set up and agreed upon by our clients. Also a normal work day will be between 6-8 hours. Rarely would you have a 9-12 hour work day but it is possible. Anything above 8 hours you will be paid $20 per hour. Job Requirements: You must be reliable, well educated and computer literate. You must posess a passion for music and a heavy interest in photography. You must be a quick learner and have really good people speaking skills. You have to be able to handle stress from dealing with the general public and my clients demands and needs. You must be extremely polite and have proper phone etiquette. You must have really good hygiene habits such as brushing your teeth and using mouthwash, brushing your hair, taking showers and wearing clean clothes. Yes, I am serious about that. You have to smell good! That is mandatory especially since you will be speaking directly with my clients face to face and some of them are really important business professionals. You must also be at least 21 years of age and posess a valid CA drivers license or state ID. Job Duties: Some of the duties throughout this internship will be traveling with me to special events. Assisting me in the loading and unloading of musical equipment including dj speakers. Assisting me in the loading and unloading of photography equipment including stands and lighting equipment. You will also learn how to set up and break down sound and photography set ups. You will learn about the proper care and precaution of the equipment. Keep in mind some of the equipment being utilized is worth thousands of dollars and requires you to care for it literally like a baby. You will be taught the basics and fundamentals of photography and how to use professional photography cameras and video equipment. You will be taught how to set up lighting equipment and how to do a professional photoshoot or set up for a photobooth. You will also learn about how to set up for shooting a music video and also assist as a camera man/woman. Some times you will be asked to deliver messages when we are at a concert or special event to the event coordinators or security staff. Basically, you are going to learn how to do alot of things similar to the way I do them. They dont necesarilly have to be exactly how I do it, but I expect you to be as good or better yet, better then I am within the first year. It wont take you long to get the hang of things. Alot of stuff is routine especially the loading and unloading. The tricky part is learning the settings of the equipment. Time to time we will go to radio stations and do interviews for our recording artists and will have to document the interview so be prepared for that because most of the time a radio interview is in the middle of the week. Anyways, dont stress, you will be taught everything step by step, day by day as I am an extremely patient employer/teacher. Everything takes time, patience and experience.
