I am seriously writing a staunch letter to Canon tomorrow who have also pulled out of the African Pilot competition,. .. 1st, 2nd (2nd place WON 1ST LAST YEAR) and 4th place were friends, associates and fellow company employees of African Pilot ( the owner helped the winner get a job at Sirrus who took a picture of the Sirrus and won, huh?)... 2 of the winners also went along to oshkosh in the USA in a group with the owner of African Pilot... the winners photos I cud have taken with my cell phone, if I had known that they where looking for aesthetically pleasing pretty sunset pictures of little baby planes, I wud be at Brakpan (no offence) airport taking pics of just that as they had beautiful rambling grassy runways perfect for sunset snap shots, I cut my teeth on that airport.... if Id known that saint elmos fire was such a biggie, I would have asked my many fellow pilot friends to send their snap shots on their iphones of them, as they all have and they could have won too...since when are personal friends, family members, fellow employees etc allowed to enter, never mind win in competitions. . Worst is us fellow normal people of the public had to wait over two hours for them to announce as we had to sit and bare the video they had made of their oshkosh trip and listen to them talking about this day and that aircraft as just about the while oshkosh group were at the Canon competition tonite... I (we didnt stand a chance)... their mates and fellow click group won all the canon gear and prizes!... thank u for the 5th place I guess and the T-shirt... but I think u did that to make ur self feel better...
