I am sharing this to pass on the voice of a veteran of the Irag War. While I never bought the reason for the war, I didnt pay with my time nor did I risk injury and death. I watched safe from home as the tragedy occurred to a younger generation who should not have been wasted like my contemporaries in Vietnam. I missed deployment to Vietnam by less than a year, but I doubt I would have been benefited by the experience. Whether you agree with them or not, the voices of the Vets who served in Irag should be heard. As to Bush and Cheney - there is no justification for their decisions, regardless what they thought they knew. In this, neither behaved as if they knew Jesus Christ. And perhaps their Christian personas are only for public consumption and it is unfair to judge anything more about them than their hypocrisy. And they are Republicans afterall. A Republican, man or woman, who is perceived to be too soft to be an asshole will not be able to survive a party primary.
