I am shocked to learn that thousands of wind turbines are to be constructed throughout the midland counties of Ireland, to supply the UK with their required 15% of renewable energy (under EU law) The government of the UK obviously recognises the damage wind farms do to the health of people and animals. The World Health Organisation has listed the harmful effects low frequency noise has on human health. Some of these wind turbines are to be of a scale never before constructed on land, 185 m high ... I was always of the opinion that wind energy is the way forward . However, on this scale, with no independent research, and with the Irish Government complicit in secret negotiations with these wind barons, my alarm bells are ringing. I do not trust this government to be motivated beyond their own political and financial gains.
