I am so beyond annoyed with Dr offices and stuff today. Got a call from the surgery center telling me I needed to go get blood drawn to check my potassium before my surgery next week because of the blood pressure medicine I am on. OK, I am super busy at work and this is very short notice, but I comply. I get there and am greeted by a hateful registration person telling me I have to wait and that shes already supposed to be off work right now. I dont dont really care, but I say nothing. I wait. Finally another person starts to register me, but she cant find the orders the other office was supposed to fax. She calls. I wait, and wait, finally after 5 phone calls she found that the person who sent them is gone for the day and I need to call them back on Monday. She apologies because the consent form came through, just not the order. I want to scream by this point, but I dont. Now on Monday, my last day at work with so many things going on, I get to do this dance all over again. One question....WHY DO PEOPLE STILL TRY TO USE FAX MACHINES ANYWAY??? Dont these places realize its an ancient technology by todays standards and its time to get with the times???? Oh Dear Lord Baby Jesus! I managed to get out of there without going off on anyone, but it was not easy!!! Will my surgery be postponed because of a fax machine error??? Who knows!!! Thanks for listening to my rant, that is all.
