I am so grateful for my amazing family. God has blessed me from birth--with hardworking parents who taught me by example what a strong work ethic and commitment can enable you to achieve in life; with siblings that are strong and there for you during good times and bad, loving you no matter what and whether you deserve it or not; a strong man with whom to walk through life, father, dad and example to my children, loving and committed to me for more than 35 years - each year filled with life, adventure and most of all, love. Im blessed with a wonderful son who is everything that makes me proud, who has an amazing wife who is an amazing mother to my four beautiful grandchildren. They inspire and amaze me with their shared faith in Christ which guides their daily lives. There are no better parents than these two (and yes I admit I am biased). I am very blessed with a bright, spirited daughter who touches my heart in ways difficult to explain but understood by other moms who have daughters and this cherished relationship. I have in-laws I adore, friends whom I treasure, an amazing fulfilling career and work relationships. I wake each morning and can look to the heavens to thank my Maker for granting me another day to love my loves, all of them. To work my work (even if that work is learning to handle and manage my diminishing physical abilities). To teach and hopefully enrich the lives of my grandkids, nieces and nephews with family values, shared traditions (like todays Thanksgiving celebration), and heartfelt memories they will carry with them through life until one day they create their own families to carry on our family torches, giving all of their parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins, immortality in a sense. Yes I am blessed beyond measure. And on a day like today while I reflect on my good fortune, I want all my family and friends, including my many FB friends, to know how much I appreciate your sharing your lives, loves, laughter, sorrows, everything, with me. Each and every day, I appreciate your touching my life by sharing your lives with me. I love seeing your family photos, being able to peek in on you and yours as you celebrate and navigate life. May God continue to bless each of us. And I hope you all had family and friends close to you today.
