I am so happy to report that Madeline is HOME!! She handled the ride home and long walk from the car to her room like a champ and is very happy to be home. She has a long road ahead of her with many visits to various car providers to come but for now my whole family will rest a little easier tonight knowing that she is home. I know there are many of you who are anxious to see her but the trauma docs were all adamant about the importance of peace and quiet for her as she heels so we ask that you wait to visit for at least a week. She is still struggling to control her pain and nausea so all visits need to be approved and scheduled with my dad. You can contact him at 503-504-6640. All of your love, prayers and support have been deeply felt by our family during this time and we appreciate them more then we can say. Although her injuries were significant, I truly believe there were angels protecting her that day and keeping her from incurring permanent damage and for that I am forever grateful. Tonight I am finding a small amount of peace and centering which I havent felt since Saturday knowing she is home.
