I am so lucky to have Raegan for my grand-baby :) she sits with me almost every church service and has always been a little angel- I dont want to the the mean Nonnie ever and it hurts my heart to have to be stern with her or worse to spank her but she is getting more stubborn and tonight resulted in a good old fashion come to Jesus meeting for my darling. It was really quite funny and so cute. I wish I could have let it slide but I knew next service would roll around and it would just have to be handled then. Church had barely started when Raegan darted out of the pew and ran toward the platform. I caught her just at the third pew, I said, Raegan what are you doing I need to sing, I need Mommy So we went back to our seat and she just cried and cried so I took her to the hallway and said, Raegan you cant go on the platform during church you must sit with Nonnie and we will sing together Very sadly she said, Okay Nonnie but she tried every possible tactic to stall going back into the sanctuary, talking to the greeter (Jenn), looking at the presents, the wise me, needing a drink... But Nonnie persisted and we finally made it back. So things were going well until the worship service was in full swing and I was at the front near the platform worshipping, I stood Raegan in front of me for a second to fix my scarf which had slipped down and she darted straight to the steps, I barely grabbed her in time to keep her from being on the platform and out the door we went, I told her again she was not going to run off and spanked her little bottom (which hurts her heart far more than her bottom). She just sobbed for about 20 seconds then she got both hands and put them on my face and said, Nonnie, Mommy is singing, Daddy is playing guitar, Knuckle Tate is playing pinano Knuckle Mike is playing his tar and with a huge sob she said, I need to help Mary play her pinano I mean really, how cute is that? She would make a marvelous praise singer or even a piano helper :) I told her she would one day get to sing and play but until Sis. Stephen asks you to sing with the worship team :) Later when I took her to her mommy as they came from the platform I told Hollie the story and Raegan very dramatically said, and Andrew was playing the drums Shes so smart :) I love her so much, I would rather just give her a microphone and let her sing 😝
