I am so over the arrogance and ignorance of fast food workers, and others, who think the minimum wage should be 15 an hour. I dont know many small business who can afford to pay each employee 600 per week. An average McDonalds has at least 25 employees, and managers dont make that. For 25 employees, thats $780,000 without overtime. Franchise fast food like other businesss has to have product, insurance, building and building maintance, upkeep, but even more they have to pay a royalty on all sales to franchisor. That would increase the overall price of a meal at least a dollar (and when you say you dont want pickle, they will still put it on). Now for an average family owned business with 3 employees, that puts a 40hr wk expense at 1800 per week, or 93,600 a year...plus insurance. basically, if the minimum wage is increased anywhere near this, small operations would have to close, or 1 out of 3 would lose a job. No more summer jobs for teenagers, they cant afford to pay them. Im over it.
