I am so proud of my BKS boys who totally killed it at ABANA the past 5 days. John, who hadnt forge welded in 3 or so years made a beautiful 600 layer Turkish twist dagger blade. Ilya made a 44 layer leaf blade and made a giant 2 hander with a wrought and 15n20 twisted and wrapped core with a high carbon twisted edge wrap that was so huge that he had to cut more then a foot of of it just do we could heat treat it. Kerry forged a sweet yatagan blade. Sam rocked through 3 or 4 hot dog in a bun blades and one 1075 Bowie and hot punched and press fit all of the hilts. We had 0 flaws and everything welded great. Pictures coming, but this post was intended just to say thank you to the men that I work with every day! Countless hours of set up and prep for this event and it was all worth it!
