I am so sick of everyone telling me they think Lilliana has hearing issues because she dont respond to her name when called. She is definitely on the autism spectrum but no DX yet. She hears just fine but tunes the world out when focused on something she loves. Just whisper any line from frozen, and her head will turn. She can hear Cailou 3 rooms over. She is not a snuggly, smoochie baby either and she knows this is probably what a rude interrupter seeks so she ignores them. Then I hate when I tell others about behaviors that effect her socially we are trying to help her correct, and I am met with people saying a baby dont need therapy, or all kids do weird things theyll grow out of it...Ugh I wanna scream! You have just 3 years to make a big difference and people judge and criticize the choices you make over their own ignorance to the spectrum and brain development. If therapy is recommended for your baby, the sooner better, the first 3 year is the best time and often the only time to make big difference.
