I am so, so disgusted with our brand-new local Trader Joe’s market. From their consistently putrid produce (mushy old blueberries and raspberries, rotting apples, bruised bananas) to their shell laden whole walnut bags, to their moldy baked goods. I bought English Muffins on Tuesday night. they were Moldy. I brought them back Wednesday morning: the Manager’s sage advice “if you refrigerate them they’d last longer” (!?!?!) Fed up with returning almost every item I bought in the past few month, I’ve forsaken their sparsely stocked isles (they also forgot to add storage so run out of most things by late morning) and I am now happily shopping at my little family owned corner grocery.
