I am so thankful to God for His grace and mercy. 2 Peter 1:2-4 New International Version (NIV) 2 Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. 3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. I heard Joel Osteen talk about the grace and mercy vault. He said we should live a life of grace and mercy that is so abundant even when we are not here our children will still be blessed. The example is King David. When Solomon sinned God told him, I should destroy you except for your father David. 1 Kings 11 11So the LORD said to Solomon, Because you have done this, and you have not kept My covenant and My statutes, which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom from you, and will give it to your servant. 12 Nevertheless I will not do it in your days for the sake of your father David, but I will tear it out of the hand of your son. Even in failure King David had stored up so much grace and mercy Solomon was not destroyed because of it! I happened again with Solomons son. Praise our Father! I want to live a life so pleasing to God that my children and grandchildren can go to that vault of grace and mercy. God loves us so much the bible tells us His mercies are new every day! EPHESIANS 4: 31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. 32 Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. Glory to God!
