I am standing for parliament at the General Election for Liverpool - TopicsExpress

I am standing for parliament at the General Election for Liverpool Riverside. It is a target seat for the Green Party. We already have 4 Councillors and at the local election we won 26% of the vote. A swing of less that 20% from Labour to Green locally means that we would win our first Green Party Seat in the North West. Support for our party is growing. Our membership nationally and here in Liverpool has doubled between January and November this year, and we are rising in the polls - at about 7 or 8% and rising - above the Lib Dems. The Greens are the only party which.. - wants the NHS to be kept in public hands, not sold off in bits to the private sector, - would tackle climate change fast and more effectively by moving from a fossil fuelled economy to one powered by renewable energy, - opposes austerity. There is an alternative – investment in a low carbon economy, creating real jobs of the future. With a bit more effort and a bit more support we will be able to make a big difference here in Liverpool Riverside. Please support our Crowdfunding campaign now.
