I am still a little sad....my last week at work I heard a word for the first time in a very long time and almost cried right there. I literally choked up before I could even talk. I heard a little girl in my store call her grandmother Ninnie. I had never heard another person do this in my 37 years. I had been thinking about my own Ninnie a lot recently so it struck home pretty hard. I stopped what I was doing once I was composed and asked the grandmother what she had been called and she reassured me that she was called Ninnie and that she was the only grandchild who called her that...what a huge coincidence.. I was the only to call my Ninnie by that. Maybe somehow she knows I have been thinking of her and missing her more lately.
