I am still peeved about the National League MVP voting. I think Goldschmidt should have won in a landslide. Here are the stats: 2013 MVP Candidates: Here are the categories and their league ranking. Goldy: BA. .302,(11), HR: 36 (1), RBI: 125 (1), OBP: .401(4), Slug: .551(1), OPS: .952(1), FLD %: .997 (3), Silver Slugger Award, Gold Glove Award McC: BA:.317 (7), HR: 21(23), RBI: 84(11), OBP: .404(3), Slug:.508(6), OPS, .911(6), FLD %: .982 (19) Silver Slugger **DID Not WIN Glove ** So Goldschmidt ranks 1st in 4 of the major offensive categories and also wins a gold glove but he does not win the MVP? I know the Pirates went to the playoffs and had a better record than the DBACKS but by the numbers it is obvious that the Pirates had a better team around McCutcheon than we did around Goldschmidt. I will also go so far as to say that if Goldy was on the Pirates and we had McCutcheon we would not have done any better and I believe the Pirates would have even had a better record.
