I am stoked!!! I have been going to Deep Creek Lake since I was a kid and have heard all about the black bears forever but have never ever seen one, until today! I was driving home through Garrett County (Friendsville) on US Route 68 East when I saw the tall grass moving on the side of the road. As I approached, a black bear (about 125lbs) jumped up and ran up the grass slope and disappeared into the tree line. It took everything I had to keep the truck on the road. Priceless !!!
