I am taking a moment this morning to write what I wished to say last night (said most everything below but not all) but didnt because I didnt want to be super emotional nor am I much of a public speaker. I am truly blessed to work at East Noble Schools and at the beginning of my 16th year of teaching I have been given wonderful opportunities to grow as a teacher because of the strong leadership at East Noble School Corporation. Their support is truly awesome and I cant imagine working at any other school corporation! I am also blessed to work with amazing and bright teachers who make online education at East Noble possible. Without these teachers, there would not be a program. A huge thank you to Mayor Handshoe for nominating me. Last but not least, I have also been blessed to have been raised by two wonderful parents, David and Sandy Desper, who both dedicated their lives to education of children. My parents have always supported me in good and bad times and their love is so appreciated. Because of them, I wanted to be a teacher and have to say it is the best career in the world because I get to work with so many students who bring me joy.
