I am the first of the Epega lineage in Texas. ILE ORUNMILA SANGO was born in Houston in 2003. Anyone who traces themselves to Epega Lineage in Houston is from the first group of Priests that were made here at Ile Orunmila Sango. Five of the six Priests made during that time and directly from my own Orisha pots were asked to leave the IOS in 2006 because of character issues ranging from spiritual incest (sleeping with godbrothers/sisters) to not paying monies owed on their own initiations. I realized that these matters were not going to get any better after Oluwo Epega joined the Ancestors that same year. In His Words to me thru the Ifa Reading that was done as I sat in his hometown of Ode Remo, His own Odu came down to predict the things that have occurred. I cannot act surprised over the continued acts of those who Ifa had predicted would cause problems. In these years I have been written out of the stories of many of the Dismissed as incidental, but I know it was IFAs Own blessing that my 20 years of work with Oluwo Epega, beginning with an Introduction by my Godmother Madrina Rosa Lleyva in 1985, that resulted in the continuance of the Epega Lineage in North America. If anyone wants to question the authenticity of my words and the truth that I have spoken - I stand in Otito and the protection of Iwa Pele and am ready to help bring overstanding. Be aware of the origins of Ifa in North America. I acknowledge the Royal Lineage of Oyotunji Village, and All of Those who walk in Iwa Pele - regardless of whether that path carried them into Ifa, Lukumi, Santeria, Voodoo, Hoodoo, Spiritual Baptist,or Obeah... as my Baba,Oluwo Epega did before me.
