I am the head of a new SCA branch; our whole chapter voted to leave the other organization and join the SCA so we trying to figure out how to do things we use to do under the guidelines of the SCA. So in the previous organization we had a fictitious church and it is my understanding that is not allowed in the SCA so I have a question... In period times, the church played such a major role in just about every part of government, ceremony, and in general, the daily life of the populace. So in the SCA, how do you compensate for the lack of having a religious presence in ceremonies and such.
