I am thinking of a mechanic who hated his work. He had wanted to go to college and earn a degree, but when his parents had financial problems, he dropped out of school and started working in a garage. He married and never did get back to college. As a result, he hated his work. Every time he picked up a wrench and changed a sparkplug, he resented it. Finally, Paul’s advice sank into his heart‑‑ “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart….” He came to the place where he would say, “All right, Lord, this one is for you.” Then he would pick up his wrench and go to work. He found that his efficiency increased significantly, and, furthermore, he actually began to like his work. Eventually, he found himself the owner of the garage and a very prosperous businessman. - H. Sala
