I am thrilled that the third annual “U.S. Armed Forces Classic”—a college basketball game—will be held at 7:30 p.m. this Friday in the airplane hangar at the U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Borinquen (formerly Ramey Air Force Base) in Aguadilla. The game, which will be shown live on ESPN, will feature the University of Louisville, coached by Rick Pitino, versus the University of Minnesota, coached by his son Richard Pitino. The decision to hold the game in Puerto Rico serves to highlight the important role that U.S. citizens from the island play in keeping our nation free, strong and secure.
