I am trying to find the news link to a news organization, described to me by friend Lenny, a renowned movie producer, artist, song writer, sculptor and the Gods know what else. I think it was PTSD News that had this following story and admittedly I have only fragmentary info. It seems the president invited team Boehner over for a friendly game of basketball. It seems things got a bit testy shortly into the game and there was a near altercation that the refs had to breakup. It seems the Republican players, all from the House, were wearing short sleeved flak jackets containing hard flat, metallic objects. One observer thought they were whisky flasks, but was not sure. Only brief glimpses were seen and all of this happened the Rep. players would gather in a strategy huddle. Some people tried to listen in and see what was being pulled out of the vest pockets. The words were slurred and heavy and so not known, but each time something was said all would lean back and take a drink. At least that was according to another witness. The staggering and bad breath was attributed to being out of shape and poor diets. The troubles really began when Boehner and friends began falling down and seemingly fall asleep. The Obama team became upset and protested to the refs, who just happened to be Supreme Court Justices. At one point point judge Ginsburg hit both Boehner and Thomas when they got too friendly. The Obama team quit counting baskets after 100 points and then shot around the sleeping Boehner team. Another witness said that there was the distinct smell of Scotch and cheap Scotch at that, but the Republicans later said this was sweat from drinking the night before and sleeping on the basketball floor was because they had pulled an all nighter while trying to figure out more ways to keep the govt. shut down. About five hours later the sleeping Republicans awoke and went off to their favorite watering hole. Updates later and again forgive any grammatical errors. Thanks Lenny for the news tip.
