I am usually one that sugar coats everything, however this post will be different so read at your own risk!!! First let me say that real Christians should not display ugly hearts!!! Since reading todays devotion in Jesus Calling this morning... I can not seem to stop thinking about what it said. The part that stuck out to me was sort of like this... Do not look at yourself through other peoples eyes!!! On my ride home tonight I received a phone call from someone suggesting that the moral thing to do in their eyes would be to take down the pictures I posted of the performers holding beer in one the pictures. Yes, I thought about it but since I have decided... NO I will not because that picture defines nothing about myself. Does being at a country concert mean that everyone there was drinking and acting out of character? I am not living my life to glorify anyone other than God!!! God knows my heart and I may have made some morally wrong decisions lately, however I know who I will have to answer to for that and its no one elses business cause I am going to make me happy while doing what is right for my family, not anyone else. I once sat on that pedestal that some of you are on and I was knocked flat on my back!! Getting up after such a huge fall is what made me stronger, wiser, and more determined to succeed than ever before. There needs to be more compassionate and humbled hearts that encourage the lives of those that struggle. There would be more people in church if there was less judging!!!! Maybe people would feel accepted!! Let me close by saying... you are one mistake away from the place I have I been. My record, or anyone elses record DOES NOT define who they are, only the mistakes they have made. I choose to see the GOOD in everyone. Something to think about is... What will your background record show once you are face to face with Jesus cause that is what is going to get you in Heaven... you will not get there with a ugly heart!!!! BELIEVE
